How my journey began…

My journey to becoming a small business owner of a skincare line started out very selfishly. I wanted to feel beautiful and confident without makeup; I wanted to go to the grocery store makeup free and not have to feel embarrassed about a breakout. I have struggled with acne-prone skin since puberty, and it took a toll on my social life and self-confidence. My breakouts were constant, and especially brutal during those hormonal weeks of the month. I would breakout everywhere, but the worst of the acne occurred on my jawline. My acne was cystic and painful, and would not respond to any of the products I was trying. Some products even had an adverse effect on my sensitive skin, causing redness, irritation and inflammation. After trying multiple brands and seeing no results, I felt helpless and hopeless. Sometimes my acne was so severe I would cancel plans with friends or even go so far as to call out sick from work. The temperament of my skin was suddenly controlling my life, and I needed to take the control back.

I realized the only way to take back my life was to take action, and find a way to clearer skin. I began researching the best, holistic and homeopathic remedies to heal my cystic acne. It was during this research that I learned about the compounds of Vitamin C, A and E; I learned about the healing properties of turmeric, charcoal, oats, coffee and ginger. After extensive research, I decided to formulate my own skincare product, and began testing the samples. The formula I perfected became the recipe for The Purge. After using The Purge consistently for two weeks, my skin was radiant and glowing. For the first time since adolescence, I felt comfortable going out in public without any face makeup. My self-confidence came back, and there was no stopping me!
